The Birth of ICCW
Actually, ICCW was born in 1952. But this was a time when the right environment was already established for that. The trigger for this seed came into being during the process of India’s freedom struggle. The child warrior need was a question that — some Indians answered as they, too, went into battle with the oppressor alongside the freedom struggle.

In less than twelve months that was changing the entire story, the project was a huge success with 450 of those leaving their books behind and walking into classrooms to realize their aspirations. That’s an incredible 90% success rate!]

For instance, they bring about a lot of mobile/vaccination facilities and even mobile schools where kids move their socio-economic level, called mobile schools. They appear in one instance as though they are growing an additional set of hands and feet!
The Challenges ICCW Faces
It is not always so easy for ICCW. On the contrary, they have to be in tune with the forces that hinder them like the lack of financing and intercepting the community’s resistance, besides coping with the hurdles already ineludible in a country as big as India. Nevertheless, here’s a point to ponder: Do the workers ever want to quit? Not by a long shot. They hit to the problem calmly but forcefully as a fighter does on a fight.
