Through my personal life events, I’ve witnessed NFE in action. It’s not a school where we sit in front of a teacher and listen to them for a couple of hours every day. It can be likened to the “hip” offspring of instruction-dressed-down but still fun while IT is the one & lsquo;cool kid’ of education.

I’ve also had NFE programs be part of my personal transformation. I have a case of Maria as one of the references, which is about a girl from the village who was given reading and counting knowledge through an NFE plan. This, in turn, helped her to have a successful small business. The case of Juan, who on the community tech workshop didn’t only learn things like that but also used his acquired knowledge to create the most innovative projects- NFE in action is seen.

NFE has its hurdles. Money is often a big hurdle, which can be hard to get, and there are still people who would choose what they know of. However, I sincerely believe in the possibility that as technology and new learning needs change, more room will be created for NFE to be the instrument thing that other traditional educational landscapes of future can’t do without.
