Is it me or is it long? However, this is no convoluted program this is quite simple like bulldozers demolishing old buildings. MEPMA, however, is a project that sets out to break the wall of poverty brick by brick in urban areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"MEPMAs_Toolbox_How_It_Gets_the_Job_Done\"><\/span>MEPMA&#8217;s Toolbox: How It Gets the Job Done<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Self-Help Groups (SHGs): These are like financial fight clubs where members are supposed to raise their fist, not their voice. The SHGs save altogether and support each other&#8217;s success in economic activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skill Training: It&#8217;s as if this were a store for life upgrades. People walk in unemployed and leave with the skills they need to land a job they can sell.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Urban Community Development: It&#8217;s just like beating a vacuum when you made-over the streets and buildings of a neighborhood, though with people involved too.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Livelihood Programs: Job creation on speed. This is like laying down the seeds of economic development by 500 women to the concrete jungle! MEPMA \u201c\u2026 which lifted 15% of the urban poverty in Andhra Pradesh over five years\u201d \u2013 is no drop in the bucket; it&#8217;s more like emptying the whole stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Challenges_MEPMAs_Hurdles\"><\/span>Challenges: MEPMA&#8217;s Hurdles<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are issues that MEPMA has to confront like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Limited funds: Starting from ground level and having a garden hose a single person will try to fill a swimming pool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bureaucratic red tape: It&#8217;s always a paper chase more than a poverty chase in some parts of the world.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reaching the ultra-poor: Some individuals that are below the poverty line are so stuck in people that they seem to have crossed dimensions in time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Future_MEPMA_20\"><\/span>The Future: MEPMA 2.0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>What do you say MEPMA\u2019s next steps should be?
